What does 2 kg mean?
The 2kg marking refers to the stated net contents: 2,000 grams of gas, not the total weight of the cylinder and packaging. Always check the contents stated on the label of the product you receive.
Which details should you check?
Look for the product name, manufacturer, warnings and any batch or serial numbers. A barcode or logo alone does not prove authenticity or certification. Ask the supplier to check any inconsistent or unreadable information.
What about connections and pressure?
Suitable connections, equipment and operating conditions vary by product. Do not infer pressure, compatibility or operating instructions from size or an illustration alone. Refer to the exact model’s documentation; never improvise an adapter or connection.
What if it says “do not refill”?
Do not refill a cylinder bearing this marking. Do not puncture or modify the cylinder yourself. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use, storage, transport and return or disposal. Ask the supplier for advice if you are unsure.
Only for its intended purpose
Nitrous oxide is not intended for inhalation. Inhaling it can cause oxygen deprivation and serious nerve damage. Escaping pressurised gas can also cause cold burns. Do not use a damaged or leaking cylinder.
